Tremolo Rules –Tremolo only as written
Resist the urge to use tremolo in measures 8, 81, and 89.
Target Tempo - Quarter note = slightly less than 140.0
Other Notes
- All eighth notes are played straight – not swung.
- When you have a glissando and need to look at your instrument, use your peripheral vision to the best of your ability to see the conducting too.
- If you have little notes / grace notes before a note, play the little / grace notes before the beat with the big note played on the beat.
- Regardless of whether the little / grace notes have a slash through them. (They should.)
- The last measure is played very softly.
- There are notes above the stave discussing what is happening in this section of the piece. Please let your inner musician “channel” these descriptions.
- The dynamic markings help with interpretation.
- M2s – In M67, M68, M71, and M72, change the last note in the measure (E natural) to F natural.
- This will cause us to play 3 Fs in a row.
